I. While DVR is booting and if it is Kernel 2.6, it will show KERNEL-2.6 in the bottom of SYSTEM CHECK; otherwise, if it is Kernel 2.4, it won't show.
II. MENU_SYSTEM SETUP¡JIf it is Kernel 2.6, it will show -26 in the right-top of SYSTEM SETUP MENU; otherwise, if it is Kernel 2.4, it won't show.
PS, In case LCD Monitors boot up (display images) slowly so that you will miss SYSTEM CHECK. Thus, you can connect DVR with CRT Monitor or just check it on SYSTEM SETUP MENU.
IE built-in DVR Firmware Update¡J
1. Extract the zip file named firmware / firmware-26 and save the firmware
folder into the USB flash memory.
* Do not change its folder name.
* Please confirm the files of firmware / firmware-26 saved on the USB flash memory to see if they are all transferred completely or any file damaged.
2. Insert the USB flash memory (spec. 2.0) into USB connector of the DVR.
3. Get into "FIRMWARE UPDATE" (under SETUP MODE) item & press
ENTER to start update.
4. System would show "FIRMWARE UPDATING" while updating.
5. After the firmware is updated, OSD would show "PLEASE SYSTEM REBOOT". And, then please restart DVR.
6. Finally, get into ¡§LOAD DEFAULT" (under SETUP MODE) & press ENTER to start load default.
